Nice staff, well placed.
Small room looking into the other room's window in a halation. No minibar. Weak sound isolation, your sleep depends on your neighbour's willingness to close his door smoothly.
Le Robinet d´Or is a privately owned hotel managed by two sympatethic French gentleman. This hotel has been extensively renovated for 2 years and now it display a contemporary, clean, urban, parisian feel for those ones looking for a comfortable place to stay. Color palette is very soothing: shades of gray, teal blue, burgundy and nice textrures (wall paper, carpet, curtains) and brass lighting fixtures. Room 104 faces the corner of the building with two large French doors, very airy, open space and high ceilings. The room is relatively small but stilll charming and comforatble. It also has a cofffe/tea machine (Cafe Richard) with sachets of coffee and tea and two beautiful Limoges cups with saucers. Toileteries are French (made in Maquis) and of good quality. The shower and lavatory is excellent. I had several meals at the ground floor restaurant (very good food, steak bernaise, tiramisu, blue cheese hamburger). The receptionist Patricia and the owners really make you feel comfortable, at home and very welll educated people. Due to fact hotel is a historic building elevators are not allowed to be installed but hotel staff is proud of carrying your luggage to your room, tv set has plenty of channels (French and English- just hit the dv button in remote control).
Hotel does not has an available computer for guests (this is quite common in Europe) although they may provide you wifi. I did not bring computer but there is a totem with automated info for specific places and directions. The nights I stayed in Paris were relatively warm and hotel has no air conditioning (I opened French doors and cool air was enough to make comfortable). Pillows could be softer (minor issue).
great people. they do evevything to make your stay perfect.
The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel and restaurant was always sparkling clean. The food was excellent, we ate our evening meal there for the whole stay, of 5 nights.
I would of like the windows in the bedroom to be double/ treble glazed, we could hear every footstep outside on the pavement!
From the moment of arrival, the staff made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Ate in the Bistro in the evening and the food was excellent.
Nice, clean hotel, quite big room as for Paris. Comfortable bed. Very good shower.
Everything was ok
Very very nice rooms - contrary to other hotels in Paris in this budget category y get a lot more than a shoe box (at leastnthe rooms we had). Very nice family running the brasserie thwt is part of it, overall thoroughly enjoyable. Close to several metro stations, so it was no problem that it was not in the heart of things. Very convenient for gare de l'est gare du nord.
Comfortable and stylish room. Some reviews say on the small side but we found it sufficient and the en suite very spacious, with room for dressing, luggage etc. Quiet at night and a brisk 10 minute walk from Gare du Nord. Picturesque canal a few metres away and several small bars and restaursnts nearby, clearly popular with locals. Staff very helpful - no lift but luggage was carried to our room by the manager. The hotel has a pleasant bar and bistro -we didn't eat there but cocktails were good.
Excellent and modern appointments in the rooms making it very comfortable and pleasant stay. Very quiet and friendly and inviting staff. Definite recommendation hotel if near gare de l'est. truly outstanding 3 star hotel
If u need an elevator, they don't have one. Everything else is great
Exceptionally helpful staff, having at stages of my life stayed at some of the world's top hotels,I have never encountered anything up to this level. Great decor in hotel ,the room is as free as possible from the usual awful dust collecting drapery.Cleverly, bearing in mind the name the plumbing is exemplary ,what a shower! Accessibility to Opera ,Boulevard Haussmann and the eighth Arrondissement is easy as is Gard du Nord.
The restaurant was the only sticking point. The staff although delightful had been poorly trained. They have no conception of perpetually scanning a restaurant so diners are not left staring at dirty plates. On the positive, they do not ask you "Is everything all right "In my experience that if it starts is perpetual and infuriating. Breakfast ,the continental option, could do with a little more attention in that there was erratic quantity control .Thigs ran out and were not replaced.Another scanning problem. The staff should know the content of the wine list, which was well chosen, but a bit of a mystery to them in that it was evident that they had never tasted it which would have been helpful to them .
The staff, especially Patricia, were extremely helpful. The rooms were very clean and the restaurant was excellent.
Great hotel, very nice team. I like the hotel very much and I will defintely come back when I will visit Paris.
Quelle surprise ! We regularly stay in hotels in Paris, but this one is really exceptional. We arrived too early, so our room was not ready yet. However, the lady at the reception desk did whatever she could to arrange the room as soon as possible. She made our waiting comfortable by offering a cup of coffee ... The room, the restaurant, the personnel, ... Everything is worth mentioning here. A pearl in Paris ...
The hotel itself was excellent, the rooms were fantastic with a superb finish. The staff were also extremley helpful and friendly.
The staff were extremely friendly with nothing too much trouble. There is no lift at the hotel but they are more than happy to carry bags to the room so it is not an issue. Rooms are very comfortable as is the shower room. The only thing that was missing was some shower gel which I would have expected of a hotel in this price range.
